What’s On:
Longsands Beach, golden sands stretching a mile long, attracting locals and visitors from afar, also home to marine life living alongside us!
Join us on Wednesday 29th April as we take to Longsands Beach to clean-up all the litter we can find to prevent it from entering the sea and causing devastating damage. This is your opportunity to take part in something bigger than us!
Our meeting point will be Tynemouth Aquarium entrance at 11am and our expert Aquarists will be present for any questions you have about Marine Life and Marine Protection.
Our responsibility for our Seas and our Planet
Being educated is a great step towards the conservation of our oceans. Every year, one hundred thousand sea mammals are killed by ocean pollution, and sometimes the seals we care for at our Seal Hospital have suffered injuries from litter.
