2019 has been an amazing year.
Not only have we re-branded to Tynemouth Aquarium, but we have also made some amazing changes to the Aquarium.
We opened our brand new exhibit – River Giants! An immersive display which brings you the sights and sounds of the Rainforest and up close to some huge fish!
You can even help feed our River Giants at our new talk – every day at 11am and 2pm.
As well as opening our new exhibit we have been busy improving other parts of the aquarium.
- We started with our toilets giving them a complete overhaul, making them more comfortable for our visitors and more environmentally friendly too!
- We have also upgraded all of our tank lighting around the aquarium making our displays look even better than ever!
- Outside we have given the aquarium a fresh look and ensured the building is ready for the next 25 years of fishy fun!
Additionally, there is more to come in 2020 from 2019.
