We are committed to providing a fun aquarium experience for all visitors including those with additional needs. We welcome any feedback to make your experience easier and more enjoyable.

  • The majority of aquarium displays are on one level and there are some steps to certain displays, however these displays can also be seen from the ground level.
  • We have a fully accessible restaurant and toilets.
  • Tickets for guests with additional needs can be purchased at the gate, one carer is admitted free with each disabled guest ticket, proof of carer status will be required on entry and any additional carers will need to purchase a standard ticket.
  • Disabled parking is available in both car parks adjacent to the Aquarium (Parking is owned and operated by North Tyneside Council)

In some areas of the Aquarium there is low lighting for the welfare of our marine life, creating a more natural environment for them. If you have any concerns regarding this please do contact us.
